Autumn 2015

Special matinee concert of the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain at The Lighthouse Theatre in Poole.

We were given the opportunity to see a special matinee concert of the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain at The Lighthouse Theatre in Poole. The children in Class 3 will be learning the Ukulele in the Spring Term with the Dorset Music Service.  We had a great day and the children really enjoyed it, even though they were very tired after two performances of the Christmas Production the day before.

‘They are amazing!’ Amelia commented.

‘They are great, amazing, and super!’ Rosa.

‘They are really good.’ Bailey.

 Making things for Christmas

We made Sock Snowmen to sell at the Christmas Fayre.

In DT we have been learning about pneumatic systems.  We made moving toys, and a mess, to sell at this year’s Christmas Fayre with our own pneumatic element.

Literacy - Instruction

The Minister of Stone Giants

We had a visit from the Minister for Stone Giants to explain to us how to get rid of the Stone Giants who are causing trouble in the local area. This then helped us to write our own instructions for catching a magical creature.

Harvest

During Harvest week we made soup and bread.  It was yummy!
