Ethos & values
We are a Church of England School with a historic foundation and a strong community spirit that provides our pupils with a supportive and nurturing environment in which they can develop into the very best they can be. We measure success not just in terms of academic achievement but in terms of how happy children are to come to school each day and the extent to which they develop into confident individuals, benefiting from a range of experiences and successes which positively shape their character and inspire a lifelong love of learning.
We provide education of the highest quality to all our pupils, within the context of Christian belief and practice. Our pupils are encouraged to see themselves as responsible global citizens and to behave as a caring and respectful school family.
Our core values are:
Respect - “We all respect each other and that’s why we are a great school!” (Amelia)
Responsibility – “It is our responsibility to look after our school and set the example for the little ones.” (Thomas)
Relationships – “We are like one big family” (Anise)
Reflection – “We reflect on what we have done and what we can do better” (Diesel)
Rejoicing – “We celebrate all great things that each other do. We are about fun!” (Harry)
Reaching – “The teachers help us reach our goals!” (Sam)
