Welcome back to the Spring Term. This is going to be an exciting term, learning about the Mayans. Look below to see what has been happening in Class 3.

Class 3 made Easter invitations, which we delivered to the villagers, to tell them about the Easter Journey that is set up in the church. We also invited them to our Easter Service at the end of term.
Washingpool Farm Visit
On a sunny, cold winters day we went to Washingpool Farm to learn about plants as part of our science topic. We learnt how the farm grows vegetables to sell in the shop, from planting the seeds to storing once harvested. We also learnt about animals reared on a farm to be sold as meat. We worked together in groups to plant up five salad boxes to grow back in class. In the afternoon we did some sketching of the lake. We had a great day.
Flower pots for the Weldmar Hospice Fashion Show
The children in class 3 were put in charge of decorating and filling plant pots for the Colmers Hill Fashion Charity Fashion Show which be being held in the Tithe Barn on Friday 18th March 2016.
Dance festival & Class Assembly
In the class assembly the children performed their dance for this year’s Bridport Dance Festival, three songs that they had learnt in their ukulele lessons and facts about the Mayans.
World Book Day
World book day in Class 3. The children came to school in some great costumes of their favourite book character.
We had an exciting morning with a Mayan Workshop. We learnt about foods that were discovered when the Spanish discovered the Mayan’s, used artefact’s to learn more about the Mayans, played a Mayan board game and made a devils eye.
Chinese New Year 2016
This Chinese New Year Class 3 have been enjoying, making, painting, dancing and creating a variety of Chinese influenced activities.
We went to the Panto ............
We went to see the Bridport Pantomime Players present DICK WHITTINGTON.
Let's Go Fly a Kite ....
We split into our house groups to make kites.
Class 3 welcome new members
This term class 3 welcomed four new members, George, Pip, Lexi and Lilly, the fish. The children will be responsible for caring for the fish during term time. During the holidays one of the teachers will take them home.
We started learning to play the Ukulele!
This term we will be learning to play the Ukulele. This was our first lesson where we were given our instruments and started to learn our first song. There will be a concert as part of our class assembly at the end of the term.
