At Story Club we do different things every week … but always starting with a story.
The club will involve drama, art and construction activities and more!
We love an Elmer story and this week we were inspired to make our own Elmers out of old milk bottles. We have some lovely colourful elephants!
The Train Ride
We loved the rhythm of The Train Ride story and all the things that the little girl saw out of her window.
We got creative and created our own scenes and our own train track to tell our own version of the story.
The children were fantastic at telling their parts and were even trying to make it rhyme! Great story telling!
After reading Rainbow Fish we used the clay to create our own Rainbow Fish. Look at all the shiny, sparkly scales!
Three Little Pigs
After much enjoyment, joining in with reading the Three Little Pigs, the children were set the challenge to build houses that the Big Bad Wolf couldn't blow down. The Big Bad Wolf (Mrs Wills' hairdryer!) huffed and puffed and managed to blow some houses down, but couldn't blow George, Amber or Maddie's!
