Welcome
to Symondsbury
Church of England VA Primary School
We believe that each and every one of our pupils is a super star. And we are a school which aims to make sure that each one of these superstars develops the confidence, character and skills to succeed in their lives beyond their time at Symondsbury.
We achieve good academic results but we measure our successes on a lot more than that.

Friday 6 December 2024 Christmas Production 2024 The children of Symondsbury School did themselves proud once again as they performed their Christmas production of ‘Rocking Around Christmas’. They sang so beautifully, danced gracefully and acted brilliantly but above all they had an absolute ball! You could see from their faces that they loved performing together and there were individuals that absolutely shone like the stars we know they are! A very special THANKYOU to all of the staff who were busy choreographing, prop making and practicing these past few weeks and for giving the children such a special memory! Of course – I cannot fail to mention our ‘Director Extraordinaire!’ Miss Prentice who not only did an amazing job but also kept the energy and enthusiasm going for them all which was a joy to see!

Wednesday 27 November 2024 Acorn Class Fab Finish: What was it like to be a World War II Evacuee? Acorns class enjoyed sharing their learning on World War II Evacuees with friends and families during our Fab Finish! We came up dressed in 1940s style and set up a living museum in the classroom. We had studied a range of historical sources to help us understand the past, such as objects, documents, photographs, audio and video recordings as well as an actual primary source interview with a pupil's great grandfather who was a WW II evacuee!

Tuesday 26 November 2024 Fabulous Football at the Kenway Cup What absolute superstars our Sycamore footballers were this week. They showed amazing skills on the pitch, played 6 brilliant games and scored some super goals. But the thing that shone most of all was the children's resilience and team spirit. They showed great sportsmanship and kindness to each other and all the other schools! We were very proud. Thank you to Lee for all your help coaching and inspiring them.
