Oak Class Quadkids

Today, we went to Colfox to compete in the Year 3 & 4 Quadkids event.  The event is organised and supported by students from the school.  We had a wonderful afternoon, and I could not be prouder of the eight children who participated in the standing long jump, Howler throwing, 50m run, and 400m run events.  They gave it their all.  Overall, we came third in the competition, and Reuben came an impressive 2nd out of all the boys across the events.  While we waited for the scores to be added together, we had a fun relay race, and the Colfox pupils joined in with the teams.  It shows that once you’re a member of the Symondsbury family, you never leave, as ex-pupil Eti joined our team to help us win the relay.
