Year 3 Bee Club is Buzzing!

Year 3's  had their first session on Wednesday with the extremely knowledgeable pairing of Helen and Gareth.  The children were shown a hive box and learnt all about  its different parts. They found out what to do to keep themselves safe around bees.  The children were excited to find out the different types of honeybees found in a colony and the jobs of a worker bee.   They also had the pleasure of tasting some fresh yummy honey too (with wax!).   The year 3's are now ready and buzzing for next Wednesday's session when they will be visiting the apiary.
