Sign Posting Support for Parents
We believe that all children should be equally valued in school. We strive to remove any barriers to learning which could hinder or exclude individual pupils with SEND. We believe all children should have the opportunity to flourish and feel safe. The children that we support have a range of needs and we know that parents want to help where they can.
If you have any concerns about your child's learning, your first port of call should be their class teacher. Speak to them about your worries. We are here to help.

Ideas to try at home
Here are some ideas, information and resources to support children with additional needs or specific learning difficulties, at home. We will be adding more, please keep checking back. These can be useful for any child, however, each child is unique, so adaptions may be needed with trial stages.
Routines and Expectations
Below are a few ideas to try to support routines and expectations. Often, these work best if they are used consistently and when children's engagement is praised.
Visual Timetables
Visual timetables can help children better understand what is about to happen and reduce anxiety around change of routine. They can be used to explain any routine or activity helping your child prepare for the event.
Now and Next Board
Now and next boards are visual aids that can be used to show children what is happening now and what is going to happen. They are very useful for helping a child that struggles with change or transitions and can be used in educational settings and at home, as well as being adapted to suit each child's specific needs.
