🏉 A Gritty Day of Rugby – Team Spirit Shines Through!

What a great day of rugby we had! The team kicked things off with a fantastic win in our first game, setting the tone with energy and confidence. Though we narrowly lost the next three matches, the real victory was in the team spirit, grit, and determination shown by every player.

From start to finish, the squad gave it their all. Heads never dropped, and every tackle, pass, and sprint was full of heart. It was a fabulous team effort that truly showcased the character and resilience of our players.

A huge thank you to all the parents and families who came out to support – your cheers and encouragement made a real difference. And a special shout-out to Jessie’s dad, whose extra training tips on the day were invaluable and much appreciated by the team.

👏 Well done to everyone involved – we couldn’t be prouder!

Cross country running at Colfox

Colfox Cross-country running

Children from Oak and Sycamore class competed against 11 other schools on Wednesday at the Autumn cross country at Colfox. The children were up against some fierce competition and had to run a sizeable distance, but did brilliantly! we were so proud of their determination and positive attitudes, particularly their fantastic sportsmanship and support for each other and the other schools. Our 3/4 boys team came 3rd overall and all of the children did Symondsbury proud. Well done!

A massive THANK YOU to Mia B’s Dad, Mia S’s Dad and Mum, Lucy’s Dad and Mrs Swift for helping with transporting the children to the event!  We could not have done it without you.

Colmers Hill Run – Saturday 11th October

What a day it’s been! Under crisp autumn skies, the 23rd annual Colmers Hill Run brought energy, excitement, and community spirit to life. This cherished tradition continues to inspire, and this year’s event was no exception.

The runners gave it their all, tackling the challenging course with determination and heart. While the course record stands at an impressive 6 minutes 15 seconds, our very own Henry crossed the finish line first with a remarkable time of 6 minutes 50 seconds – a performance to be proud of!

In the girls' race, Bea led the girls across the line with strength and style came in a very close second. As a team, the girls placed third and the boys secured second, showing fantastic teamwork and resilience.

👏 Well done to everyone who took part – your effort and enthusiasm made the day unforgettable. And a huge thank you to all the parents who came out to support and help. Your presence and encouragement mean the world.

Here’s to many more years of running, cheering, and celebrating together!
