PurpleMash - During busy times, the system may crash. We are not able to do anything about this. Please do one of your paper based activities or something else instead. - Miss J

Your writing task for this week is here. It is also on Purple Mash as a 2Do.
It’s officially the Easter Holiday Class 4.
This week, relax, get out in the garden, draw, read and don’t eat too many Easter Eggs.
Look out for more work coming after the 2 weeks ‘holiday’.
Miss you all

ACTIVITY IDEA -
LIVING THROUGH A PIECE OF HISTORY
No School, Lock-down at home
What is happening to us has not happened before. So let’s make a record of the events and things that have happened, we can be like Samuel Peeps. You never know, your work might be used in future history lessons.
- Make a scrap book of things that have happened. This could include:
- Copies of newspaper reports from the day.
- Diary from yourself – how you feel, what you think.
- Pictures of you up to things
- Pictures that you have drawn
Let your imagination go wild.
What would you put in?

Welcome to Spring
Welcome to a new decade, 2020, in Class 4. This term is sure to be as cram packed with action (if not more with the Opera) as the Autumn was. Below is the start of term information. Keep checking back to see pictures of what we are doing in class.
WE Day 2020
WE Day 2020
On Wednesday 4th March, we travelled to Wembly Areana to WE Day, a celebration of children changing the world. It was a very early start, 5am, and the children did not stop all day - they were like the energizer bunny. They were an absolute credit to the school, parents and themselves in how they conducted themselves around London. They really enjoyed the experience and took a lot from the messages from inspirational speakers including: Lewis Hammilton, Idris Elba, Jamie Oliver and Callum Scott to name a few about being superheroes.
Comments from the children coming soon.
In Class 4, we have been looking at Natural Disasters as part of our Geography topic. We have investigated tornadoes, earthquakes and volcanoes. Our Fabulous Finish at the end of term will showcase all our work.
We had a great time!!!
We have been designing and making bird boxes. We made prototypes of birdhouse from cardboard to see how they are built. Then, in small groups, we made a set of birdhouse for the garden in school and in the church yard.
Cross Country Running
KS 2 cross country team ran in the West Dorset Primary Schools competition at Beaminster. The children performed brilliantly in very difficult conditions of mud, wind and cold. The year 5/6 boys A team ran superbly and came third overall. Well done everyone!!
