We are proud to be a Church School
We are proud to be a Church of England school and have very strong links with ‘St John the Baptist Church’ which is opposite the school. We have weekly Collective Worships at the church, as well as some RE lessons and performances. Reverend Chris leads us in worship fortnightly too, which we all look forward too. We teach through our values: responsibility, respect, reaching, rejoicing, reflection and relationships. We thrive on building strong relationships between teachers, children, parents and the wider community. We believe that creating a safe, happy and positive learning environment enables children to thrive in all aspects of their learning.
‘Religious education in a Church school should enable every child to flourish and to live life in all its fullness. (John 10:10). It will help educate for dignity and respect encouraging all to live life well together.’ RE Statement of Entitlement from the Church of England Education Office Feb 2019
Symondsbury CofE VA Primary School and St Johns the Baptists Church –
“You, me, us, everyone - we are a school who believe have the power to change the world.”
This is our vision and we are committed to putting our children and community first. We work together to provide an excellent education, which allows all children to use their God given gifts to the full, within an inclusive and caring Christian ethos. We wholly uphold the belief that we are all one in God.
